37. Wright Brothers' First Flying School, 1910
Montgomery, Montgomery County
Wilbur and Orville Wright came to Alabama to establish the first pilot training school. Although the school was short-
lived, several aviation records were set and the first night flight in history was made here. The site of this school is
now part of Maxwell Air Force Base.
