13. Rattlesnake Rodeo
Opp, Covington County
In 1959, the Opp Jaycees organized the first Rattlesnake Rodeo. Held annually every year since 1964, the event attracts thousands to Opp in early April
to enjoy musical performances and a karaoke and songwriter's contest, to select beauty pageant winners, to browse arts and crafts, and to visit displays of rattlesnakes.
